Lighting studies

Did some very quick lighting studies for the windows that would cast light onto the table/floor of the living room. Thought about to to frame things with the light and make interesting patterns, this visual thinking helped me out when I was doing the final drawings for the animatic.

Character exploration for young Sal

Set in the 70-80's I looked at the clothing that kids Sal's age (10-13) wore in the 70's and based my designs off of the findings.

Second memory storyboards

This is what I presented to the crew for critiques before class. Overall, they really liked them (and I did too) but there were some changes to be made.

The feedback from the crew was to get rid of the bird tugging part and just have the dove follow Sal down the hallway. Also the mom swiping the drawing looked a bit awkward as well.
